The New Sister Program of The Noble Circle Project begins with an expense-free Weekend Retreat located in a pastoral setting. Retreat participants are introduced to the three pillars that guide the Noble Circle's approach to well-being through:
- Nutrition classes and delicious, healthy, whole food meals
- Qigong classes and individual sessions with professional practitioners of other techniques such as massage, reiki, reflexology, etc.
- Peer support groups (which include all of the New Sisters and are led by a trained facilitator), as well as through many opportunities for impromptu one-on-one conversations with other New Sisters and with volunteers who have previously completed the New Sister Program
Additional activities often include an art project, walks on the beautiful grounds of the retreat center, drumming, etc.
The week following the end of the New Sister Program Retreat, New Sisters begin the second part of the New Sister Program, with the Ten-Week Program of classes held on Thursday evenings at One Lincoln Park, Kettering, OH. During these weekly meetings participants share a meal, continue learning about the Three Pillars, deepen friendships, and the sense of being a part of a community of women striving to thrive beyond a diagnosis of cancer.
